Accounting Manager

This position will lead the day to day operations of the shared services finance office of Pearle Hospitality. The shared services office provides AP, A/R, GL, Payroll, and banking services for all of the Pearle properties. The company has experienced significant growth in the past few years which will continue in the coming years and require a leader to be able to take the daily financial operations to the next level of efficiency and control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Develop a lean high-performing team and work cross functionally to support other areas of the business
  • Managed full cycle accounting of the various Pearle entities
  • Produce and analyze monthend and yearend financial statements
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of all balance sheet reconciliations
  • Work with external auditors in preparation of yearend financial statements
  • Ensure operational and financial controls are being adhered to
  • Assist with cashflow projections and management
  • Ensure all tax returns are filed timely and accurately

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • CPA designation or in the final steps of obtaining
  • 5 years progressive finance experience including a minimum of 2 in a leadership capacity
  • A self-starter who is able to work independently
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
  • Highly organized and self-managed
  • Hospitality Experience would be an asset
  • Very hands-on
